(I find it hilarious now that I've made an HP reading filter, all but one post on the first page is either people asking not to be spoiled, or people complaining about all the people asking not to be spoiled ( Read more... )

Well done.

I actually concocted a poll similar to this last week and posted it in the harry_potter comm.

My guess (pure guess) was that Ron and Snape die. Although someone suggested Hagrid in lieu of Ron and that actually makes some sense. Another question was whether any of the supposedly dead characters will play a role in Harry's quest (beyond appearing in Pensieves or portraits and the like). My thought is that Sirius will be of some type of help (I think there will be some serious Through the Veil action).

It has to happen soon though because the last TWO nights I have had dreams about venturing out on Saturday morning to pick up the book, which means waking up and having to be disappointed that it's not saturday yet. Grrrr!!

Other questions ...

Will Harry have his wish to be re-united with one or both of his parents come true - either through the time turner or another means?

Will Aunt Petunia have some kind of reckoning in this book where she finally relents and shows some kind regard for Harry or remorse for how she's treated him?

Will there be an epilogue that takes the main characters (Ron, Hermione, Harry - assuming they live - and the others) into their adult years or will JK wrap up with the final event leaving their future to our imaginations?

Will Voldemort die all the way (if he dies) or will he die, but among some mysterious details that leave us really wondering if he's gone for good.

Will Sirius make a return (the arch somehow saved him by taking him to another world before he actually died)?

Excellent questions!

Ooh, Petunia - I forgot about her too! That would have been another good question. Yeah, I think there's definitely going to be some progress on that front, some relenting on her part, a revelation of a past in the wizarding world, and/or possibly the suppression of Dudley's magical powers (!).

I can answer one of your questions based on an interview JKR's given, but I'll wait for your go-ahead in case you don't want to know. :)

That was cool. Way easier than the mugglenet version.

I didn't like some of the options, though, especially the relationship ones! I think H/G and Hr/R will end up together, but not because they're made for each other or anything yucky like that. I just think that's how it's going to be. I'm a realist.

I've heard a theory that Dumbledore went forward in time before he died and is waiting for Harry somewhere along his journey to give him critical information. A good way for him to show up but still be dead.

Overall, we may see some Draco redemption, but I think two bad-turned-good characters (D/S) is one too many. And I'm with Snape.

Oh, and normally I never cry over books/movies, but I'm knocked up; I take no responsibility for my emotions.

'tis all. :)

I agree that Harry/Hermione just seems to make a lot more sense than Hermione/Ron... But I think the trio is just meant to be together and separating it off into pairs is ultimately a bad solution. :)

I just went and read that... I would have liked to have joined the community and made some comments, but, understandably, they're on lockdown. :)

Anyway, I'm starting to wonder if Ron won't die in DH... I was thinking she'd keep the trio in tact, but if Harry really is to end up with Hermione, the only way I can see it happening without a lot of bad blood is through Ron's death.

Either that or it won't be a romantic "chemical wedding" but a platonic merging. Jo's comments about how completely ridiculous the H/Hr ship is have made me wonder if there's not some familial connection hidden up her sleeve.

Ah, well, we'll know in 60 hours!

In the end i think it's about the trio and their relationships with each other as friends and what limits they can be taken to and how much they can rely on each other and depend on each other but of course romantic relationships are going to come into play.

But I do know what you mean about Ron, i mean it does make more sense for Hermione to end up with Harry if Ron dies or there will be a platonic merging instead of that "chemical wedding" ahhh! lol it's all very confusing and there are just so many theories floating around and to think about..i cant wait to find out what happens *sigh*

Jo's comments about how completely ridiculous the H/Hr ship is have made me wonder if there's not some familial connection hidden up her sleeve.

I hadn't actually heard that before.. interesting. She's such a tricky and sneaky woman lol

Hehe and by the way I really like both of your icons you used :D
