Tonight was the first time I've actually watched Supernatural on TV (as opposed to downloading it), since the satellite TV here at the housesitting house has City TV which actually airs the show on its proper night. I've heard rumours that there's a maritime station that airs Supernatural on Friday nights, but I've dismissed this as an urban legend ( Read more... )

HUGE, HOT DEAN FACE!!! AND HUGE, HOT SAM FACE!! AND SO MUCH HAND PORN!!

I like watching this show on an actual TV. ;)

Haha, yeah...they put the Ava scene up on the CW, so you probably saw it before. :) I really liked her, too. I definitely think she was more well developed than a lot of the female guest stars have been.

I...don't know what to think about Ellen. I think I'll have to form more opinions on that when I re-watch.

But yay! Hiatus is OVER! *collapses*

Ahhh yes I must have watched it on the CW site.

Let me know what you think after the re-watch!

The preview for next week is about a haunted hotel and has nothing to do with Ava, which, booo. But it was a good preview.

She seems better developed than the other female characters in the show; nicely paranoid and jumpy/giddy

Yeah. I liked her. I was laughing so hard at the funny scenes... but oh that ending.

Yep, the next's episode's about a haunted hotel in the Shining tradition. There's an older, thin-faced lady running with them. Seems like a return to the one-episode missions. It's nice to have a break from the overall plot once in a while.

Breaks are definitely nice. Though I wouldn't have minded watching episodes of Dean and Sam lazing around Amsterdam, as per Dean's suggestion. :D

don't know about AVA + SAM 4EVAH!, but I'm much more interested in seeing that develop than Dean/Jo.

Ditto. Ava's an interesting character. She's definitely better-written (and better-cast?) character than Jo. She brought a nice dose of normal, and I liked the way she and Sam got along. There's definitely some sort of kinship between them, though I hope any romantic angle will be developed in the long-term as opposed to the short-term, what with her fiance getting disemboweled and all. It'd be a hoot to see her interact with Dean, who I think might get a kick out her.

That said, I don't remember Kripke saying specifically that Ava was a love interest. Er, that could also be my own selective memory! He did mention in a recent interview that Sam would get some lovin'. Oh, bless him. :)

"Please go straight home. I want you to be safe!" is simply code for FOLLOW ME AND JUMP IN AND SAVE ME WHEN I LEAST EXPECT IT. Duh.

Hahaha, ain't that the truth. ;)

It was someone on my flist that talked about the love interest part, so maybe they were just guessing or something. They were saying that it's refreshing that Ava wasn't cast as the same blonde-type that seems to get cast on the show and that she seemed better developed. I agree! And yes if there is a relationship there, it should be developed slowly after what just happened!

It WOULD be awesome to watch her and Dean interact. XD

I love the way Ava looks! She's definitely not a cookie-cutter cutie.

I've heard rumours that there's a maritime station that airs Supernatural on Friday nights, but I've dismissed this as an urban legend and simply stick to downloading it.

There is a station in the martimes that is a City (CHUM) station.. What time is it supposed to be on out east? & is that your time or my time? If it's your time, what time zone are you in? * we have digital tv with the time shift which includes the stations out east

There's no City station here. If there is any in the maritimes at all, it would be Halifax, not the rest of us. Too bad, because City airs a lot of nice stuff. I miss it. :( It's ATV (the atlantic equivalent of CTV) that supposedly airs SPN here, though I hear they are spaoradic in their broadcasts, sometimes swiching nights or not airing at all some weeks. I'm in the Atlantic time zone.
