wow, how amazing! that was a great read, especially the parts about paris. i think i will skip france whenever i make it to europe because everyone i know who has been there has horror stories. they really do hate americans. it always reminds me of that kids in the hall sketch "i'm canadian. it's like american but without the gun."

*G* thanks for posting this!!!

You're welcome! I'm happy someone actually read it. It was long! I actually ended up loving Paris, so I wouldn't skip France, but just be sure it's not your *first* stop on your trip! And I hear that the rest of France is much better than Paris itself. (I only visited Paris - my plans to visit other parts of France fell through.)

That is a great traveling experience. Once I had traveled the whole Balkan Region. It was the best week that I have ever had in my life. I was fascinated by the castles and the strange places in Romania. Right now, I am canvassing for my next trip somewhere in South America. I have already checked on the best airline tickets available in the market.

wow you are brave very brave. I am to much of a coward to travel by myself. I went on a bus trip to spain, but then I had my friend Helena with me I would never dare to travel to many countries alone.

I think this was a very interesting view and read. you did not get robbed in France? My oldest brother was when he was there a few eyars ago Paris, he ahd to spend hours at a police station where they refused to speak english poor him.

Aw, thanks. I really was terrified before I left, and half the people I talked to told me how scary it was going to be and how brave I was, and the other half said that Europe is pretty safe and that many women backpack there alone. I made sure to get back to my hostel before dark and to not go out at night by myself (which was kind of a bummer and coloured my trip in a certain way), but I had absolutely no problems with robbery or anything else. I was warned heavily by the other travellers to hide my valuables well when I went to touristy spots, as there were many pick pockets to watch out for. So I was extra careful there and either had my backpack on my front (rather than my back) or a hand on my wallet at all times.

Thats good, my brother was robbed by a pick pocket or how they are called. Not fun I can imagine. We had no troubles while visiting Barcelona over day though although our guides had warned us for that but we were extra careful.

I like the Bulgarian paradox about communism/democracy. It's like the same issue in the states. Interesting.

Oo, I am going to like this. ^^ I went to Paris three times when I was in Europe; can relate to much of what you wrote. It takes me way back, and that's a good thing. :D

Awww, cool. :) I haven't done another travelogue since, but that's okay. I'm going to try to do what I can as I can. I have a lot I want to write about!
