1.a. His Espada tattoo is on the outside of his right thigh, and he covets this sign of his position as the Octava highly, to the point where denies any demands (usually on Nnoitra's part) to see it. (Bonus: Nnoitra was mysteriously met by misfortune not two days later. His scream of rage could be heard clear across Las Noches.) The only exception is Yylfordt, who Szayel will happily and gleefully flaunt it to, much to the former's ire.
1.b. His hollow hole sits at the lower third of his hypogastrium.
2. With the release of the MASKED character book, I'm thoroughly pleased that my assumption of the Granz brats being twins wasn't screwed up by Kubo. 8) ...that means it's not headcanon anymore, is it. Damn.
2.redux. Szayel and Yylfordt's mutual displeasure with each other began when they were still human. It was also his brother that instilled Szayel's need to be perfection itself; needless to say he was already slightly deranged before his death.
