Lily was only five, but she had both her daddies wrapped around her little finger.
Harry sat her down on his lap and thought about that day.
“We were at a dreadfully boring ministry party.”
“Like Aunt Mini’s birthday?”
“No. Much worse. Anyways, I slipped right off the dais.”
“What’s that?”
“The stage, stop interrupting. So he caught me.”
“Like a shining knight?”
“More like a prince. I looked into his eyes, and I knew.”
“Did you kiss?”
“Not then, but after I asked him out to dinner we did.”
