Stereotypes of The Netherlands -

I'm not all around here all too often but this just made me smile and I wanted to share it with you, as... perhaps some of these stereotypes indeed hide a bit of truth - or even more!, LOL!

The NETHERLANDS.You know, that country of which most of Americans think Amsterdam is the capital of Denmark, or vice versa? :p

As an American, I've never actually heard of Americans thinking Amsterdam is the capital of Denmark but knowing this place, I wouldn't be surprised to learn there are many folks who genuinely think that. I am often ashamed of being American honestly!!

Yeah I honestly couldn't tell you much about The Netherlands either. I mean unless you grow up studying the crap out of geography of other countries extensively you wouldn't really be overly familiar with them!

I sometimes am ashamed though. Americans are often thought of as stupid and it certainly can be true. Not to say there isn't stupidity everywhere of course! Anywhere you go that people are, there's stupidity! I dunno, I was raised English so really I guess I'm just American by where I was born.
