We have a visitor at the lair! So I’m a bit distracted at the moment. Also, I’ve been doing a little field recording of interesting sounds - rain, pottery breaking, glass breaking like gunshots, things like that. It’s fun!

I’m going out with Leannan Sidhe in a couple of weeks to do more serious field recordings, and I’m very new at all of this, so

I'm curious: what kind of field recording kit do you have? Tape, or digital?

Oh, digital. A Zoom H4n, circa 2011. There's a new version as of 2015 and the specs are the same and it added some filters and stuff, but I wouldn't consider those features myself, really. Still, some might like them.

It was! Even more than I realised when I photographed it, because it was a bit of a quick stop. ^_^
