meep-yay! I barely used the TRS-80 despite being a Z80 advocate because I had access to other systems: the one I breadboarded myself, a Zilog MCZ2/50 (Zilog's effort to make complete systems) and such. I'll let others at MARCH know your success (the NJ vintage computer museum, full of TRS 80s).
Yeah, it's old code that was floating around UNIVAC systems in the 70s, so I think it counts as open source. XD Tell 'em to grab it if they want it - it's going up on trs80.com too. ^_^
