Looks like their relationship has never been and will never be an easy one.

I could actually see them together in that club/ladies room. The last bit, too, where it all comes together, is nicely edited; the past and the present seem to meld together in a beautiful way.

Oh, and I love the tiny bit with the cogwheels (those are cogwheels, right?).

I agree that their relationship is complicated, and they always had their own way of 'communitaing' and working things out.
I think their future should be much better than their supposed past. (Still hoping the legends are wrong. *sends threatening looks at BBC*)

Legends are fanfiction for the canon of history (if they're even rooted in history), methinks, so every interpretation is valid in its own way. And for the Arthurian legend there isn't even a Word of God so...
This makes me think of Lesserstorm's Walking into Legend, btw, which brings legend and BBC's Merlin together rather nicely.

He would be, wouldn't he? Merlin's a special rose who loves his prince because he adores and protects him (even though rose!Merlin can defend himself very well with his magic thorns). :D
