Definitely check out True Blood! That vid is incredibly pretty, but it doesn't show how hilarious and cracked out the show is too. *g* (Also, thanks for the rec. ;))

wasn't the best show ever but I liked it anyway. I was sad it got canceled. :/

I loved the pilot and...then sort of lost interest. I always just wanted it to be about Jaime & Sarah fighting and having UST. Oh, I also liked Sarah's boyfriend who worked with Jaime. I think I saw maybe 3 episodes?

That would have been awesome. There were like Buffy/Faith in that way.

Watch True Blood! It's brilliant crack, and a proper replacement for the Buffyverse after the recent string of Vampire series.

Will do! I know you're a big fan of the books as well.

The main differences are that the books are from Sookie's POV exclusively and the show has more sex in it, and it's not that it has more sex, per se, mostly that it's more explicit than the books are because it does things visually (and not from only Sookie's POV). Generally though they're pretty much on par with each other and have only minor character and plot tweaks between the two (Jessica doesn't exist in the books, Bubba doesn't exist in the tv series, etc).
