1. I just finished watching the "Genealogy of Vidding" 24/7 DIY Video Summit presentation made by Laura Shapiro and Francesca Coppa (with intro by Henry Jenkins). I'd heard all about it, but hadn't actually ever sat down to watch it. In short, it is WONDERFUL. I love the Buffy/Edward thing, and almost hurt something laughing yesterday when I watched it. It was just BRILLIANT! And Buffy's reaction would totally be my reaction (other than the whole slaying bit cos I ain't a slayer, but the rest... )

Hm. When I simply download with Download Helper, it makes an flv file that nothing on my computer wants to play. (Is VLC supposed to do that?) And when I convert to avi, the quality is baaaaaad. I tried to adjust the avi settings, but then the conversion fails. Do you have any tips? (I'm actually after the same H:LotS vid as you are.)

I just tried playing the flv with VLC and it worked. If it's still not working, I think there are some free flv players around. Did you try it with VLC & it didn't work?
