I got annoyed when they kept putting giant ads over the videos, but then I stopped caring about imeem all together once they took away the embed function. The site had no point anymore. WHATEVER, IMEEM.

The problem with BAM is that you need an account to watch vids at the site. So you can't just link to your vid; if you want people without an account to see it, you have to embed it in your LJ.

I don't think Vimeo is necessarily starting to crack down - it always cracked down, it just strikes like lightning.

People are saying good things about Blip.tv, and I tried uploading a vid there and it looks fine, so maybe that's next. It's still in beta.
