Let me just say, from the POV of someone who watched a heck of a lot of Sherlock Holmes quite recently, that there are quite a lot of ways to try to take the slash out of Sherlock Holmes. *facepalm*

If you haven't seen it, though, I recommend the Rupert Everett one -- Sherlock Holmes and the Silk Stocking, or something -- which is quite good.

Yikes. I seriously cannot fathom how much source you guys went through for that vid. (Also, I can't fathom how Sherlock Holmes can be not slashy.)

Yes! I really liked that Rupert Everett one. I remember I used it in a multi vid I made (Filthy Minds) for a House comparison.

If you haven't seen it, Read My Mind by di_br is a really good Holmes/Watson vid.

We can't fathom the amount of source either :) Also, here is a cheap way to make Holmes not slashy: Try to use Mycroft instead of Sherlock in The Three Garridebs. Try to keep Watson and Holmes entirely in different frames, or only framed with a client between them. When Holmes comes back from the dead, frame it on opposite sides of a room. SIGH.

Also, I am tremendously amused re: Filthy Mind, because I love that vid! I must not have watched it since I saw the Rupert Everett version, though, because I probably would recognize it now. :)

Also, I will totally go check out the H/W vid.

I liked that one, but I prefer "The Hound of the Baskervilles" (aka The One where Holmes is a Blond). But both of those modern version were quite slashy.

Oh my god, that was so awkward. I felt uncomfortable for him. (Also, I was very amused that they played "I kissed a girl" during it. I'm not sure if that, um, meaning was intentional.)
