1. My jury duty check-in was pushed to Monday. Yay?
2. I have nothing to do at work today because I finished everything yesterday, thinking I wouldn't be in today.
3. I need a more stealthy-looking LJ layout for work scrolling purposes.
4. "Dexter" does not work as a Google Alert. Yeah...there are a lot of people named Dexter.

The Digital Dark Age applies to me so well already. I lost a bunch of my vids when I lost most of my files on my compuiter since I uploaded them to sites that were shut down soon after and then couldn't find anybody who still had them. It's a bit scary on a global level though.

Yeah, the idea of not having a physical, tangible THING to represent the thoughts/ideas/interactions/cultural changes/inventions people have had is frightening. Even just to supplement a historical event. Yes, you can find a mass grave, but if all clues of what happened, why it happened, who they were exist solely in digital records & email correspondence...Yikes.

(Or medical records. Or cures for diseases. Or...)

No this was WAY back (like 2003) which is why I've mostly allowed them to be lost. In the end it's like a LJ post that gets deleted, you just have to learn to live with it and remember it was about the process.

Yeah exactly, it worries me. Printing out stuff helps but there's only so much you can do and I always worry about DVDs and the like not working.
