Was my mother right?

For those of you who don't know me very well, when I came out to my mom, she said that I was gay because I lacked social skills. At the time, I disagreed with her and have maintained that position since. However, recently, I have begun to wonder if she was perhaps partially right. considering i would act the same way, i think it's not so much your social skillz as it is the people you are interacting with. i have few girlfriends (and it's taken me a while to build up what girl base i have) for a reason - i can be rather offensive and regardless of the orientation of these women, they are still women (read: sensitive.) so if you aren't sensitive to them or know them well enough to know what sets them off, then that's where issues like above happen ( ... )
