It's very early in the morning when Ginny tiptoes down from the fifth-year girls' dormitory. The common room is empty, and she settles down on the couch in front of the hearth. With a quick flick of her wand, the fire starts up again.

Hermione exits the sixth year girls' dorm, closing the door softly behind her. It's rather early, but she couldn't sleep very well at all the night before. She's still a little puzzled concerning the pendant. She yawns as she descends the stairs that lead to the dorms and heads into the common room. She spots Ginny there, looking very worn and exhausted, gazing at the fire.

"Good morning, Ginny," she greets her friend softly as she sits next to her.

Ginny looks up and gives her a tired smile.

"Hi Hermione," she replies, making some room on the couch for her to sit down. "How come you're up so early?"

Hermione looks at Ginny for a few moments. "I've had a lot on my mind lately," she says rather evasively. She isn't sure she wants to tell Ginny about the whole pendant ordeal yet. "Also, you should know, Harry knows about Ron and I, so I've felt a little bad about that too. He's been acting rather odd lately," she confesses.

Ginny pales. "Harry knows? But - how did he find out? And when did this happen?" For some reason, she has a bad feeling about this.
