Sounds yummy! I was going to say we needed some of that last night, but in fact we met at Debbie and Mel's place out in Sherwood-ish area, and it was nice and cool. Maybe only 80-ish instead of nearly 90-ish. :)
Monday was a nice cool day, so I baked mini-pies, or tarts I guess you'd call 'em, for Bible Study. I found the recipe in Redbook and twisted it to my own needs: put pie crust in muffin tins and bake, creating pastry shells. Add berries, and glaze the berries with a syrup made from cooking berries for 5-7 minutes, removing the pulp, adding lemmon juice, sugar, and corn starch, and cooking some more. The end result was cute and tasty, but it was at the expense of dirtying practically every dish and surface in my kitchen. Next time (if there is a next time) I will make a far larger recipe to try and justify the time and mess. :}
