Keys are near and dear, although I love the sea pottery & glass more. I found a whole bottle stopper last winter. It's always an adventure!

It takes alot of fur, some magic and love to create a kitty from thin air. Can you believe I've done it twice?

See, I have a complicated relationship with the sea, My mother grew up on the Jersey shore, and I thought for years it was all sand beaches with overweight tourists, until in NH I found my first honest rocky beach with tide pools and all the life therein. I must look into Second April- thank you for sharing that bit with me!

The sea is both beautiful and powerful- it's almost electric, and you can feel so small...

Your earliest beach associations are not unlike mine. I grew up in RI, so my first impressions of "the beach" were as a place where people (other than my family) played football, tanned with oil, and gold chains, strutted, etc. Maine really connected me to the real coast.
