It has been 8 weeks since my anterior cervical fusion (neck surgery). I feel like I am getting stronger every day. The constant pain, other than at the surgical site was gone as soon as I awoke from the anesthesia. My scar is less noticeable(which is nice because it is on the front of my neck at the base of my throat) and my range of motion

Wow, glad you had the surgery and are doing better now. My RL best friend has had the spinal fusion a couple of times and has never been able to wean herself off the pain meds whihc are ruining her quality of life at the present. I keep trying to talk her into giving up all the meds, but she fears the pain if she stops too much.
I had no idea what slash was either before LJ. *wink*
And Karl for the most part, has a wonderful. very loving fandom. :0 )You do have to watch out for the message boards though, they can get nasty. But that's true of any fandom where massage boards/forums are concerned.
