I think you should join the nekid_spike I think you'd like it if you have always fancied Spike. The bonus is that you'll get to read my drabble, Miss Congeniality.
On the other hand, back in December you sent in a journal about being lame and hesitant to friend people. Join that comm. They are very active, have several moderators and lots of activity. The people are very nice. I have friended a few of them in addition to the community, but that is an easy way of being more involved than going straight to the friend thing.
They even do a weekly welcome post to new community members and then will even make you a shiny personalized icon or two that you can use when posting there.
I think you would like it. I am now officially Karl/LOTR and Spike girl. Love both of them equally.
Give it some thought. If you do join and want any fic recs, there are many over there that are great, let me know and I'll send you in the right direction.

I didn't cross post it to my own journal since no one in my LOTR group of LJ friends until you commented.
I think it is kind of cute, so if you liked this you may want to pop over to that comm and have a read and let me know what you think.
