Too Deep
He was dead inside. Her words going into him like a million daggers. They kept repeating themselves in his head.
I don't need you anymore, go away.
She lay on the hospital bed in an upright position. Her wounds wrapped in cloth bandages one on her neck, one over her right eye, another on her stomach under her hospital gown but, the worst was on her back right under her left shoulder blade. She looked so vulnerable, so pathetic.
But Rin was not pathetic. She was very strong, on the inside, in her mind, but on the outside she was very fragile the most delicate touch could break her. And that was the very reason she was sitting on a hospital bed with incredibly painful wounds. But Haru didn't know that.
He just kept looking at her stormy grey eyes trying to read them to see if what she was saying was true.
They were unreadable.
And he was scared.
What if what she was saying was true what if she had only used his love to heal the open wounds her parents had left about ten years back? He just couldn't grasp the idea of her using him.
I don't need you any more.
He took one last look at her to she if her expression had changed. It hadn't. And then he left without saying another word. But he would be back.
He hoped she would change her mind because her couldn't imagine living without her. His love for her was to deep.
