I'm right there with you. I moped for like a week, and I'd like to keep doing so, honestly. I keep trying to remind myself that I can't let myself give up hope, because that's when we lose. But yeah, it's hard. :/

You know, this is a post I really needed today. I keep trying to write an LJ post about the election, and I keep failing because every time I start to write coherently about it I get depressed or angry or... So anyway, I am really appreciating posts from people who can be coherent about it. :)

One thing I'm having difficulty with is deciding which of the many causes in need of support is the one I can get behind with the most passion--particularly in a rural, white, farming area. I can't afford to drive too far to do volunteer stuff, and I have no money to donate, so trying to figure out something besides a safety pin is hard. I KNOW there are GLBTQ teens in my county, but without an organized way to find them, I'm just not sure what to do. So I've been feeling pretty paralyzed for a week now. :/

Anyway. Thank you for this post. :)

Same though. The feeling of betrayal is strong. I was in shock watching the results come in, I couldn't bring myself to believe it was actually happening ( ... )

That's a good idea! There have been some issues particularly with bullying and suicide in the local school district (my high school) and that might be a really good place to get started.

Definitely it's good to have kind of a support group for people wrecked by the election. I really needed it. :)
