I have never made fanmixes before, but whenever I read Revival by skoosiepants I get random snatches of music at certain parts, so I couldn't resist giving it a try. Hopefully my musical choices make sense to other people too -- in an attempt to help explain, I've included excerpts for each track. Also a helpful guide for when to play each song.
