To say I edited to make it work as a standalone would be giving me far too much credit. It would be more fair to say that I wrote it so that it works as a stand alone, and i'll edit it into the larger story. ~laughs~ The longer version is plotted, mostly (as I said above, that's what clued me in to the fact that it wasn't going to be done in time), but it'll take a little while. it *will* be written though!
