Okay, so I've always had this problem with The Hives, which is that I get their album and listen to it and think "This is awesome!" and then I listen to it a couple more times and then I just sort of forget about them. Which maybe isn't that bad of a problem, but, I figure I'll probably dl this album eventually and I'll probably think it's pretty nice a few times and then I'll never listen to it again. So should I be in any hurry to get that over with? Or does this album break through that barrier into truly relistenable music? Or is that even that important of a barrier to break through? (Cuz, you know, regardless of all that I'd definitely see them live; I'm sure they'd put on an awesome concert.)
I guess I've never experienced that problem with the Hives, so it's a little hard for me to say if it's relistenable. I will say that I think this album is even more catchy than other Hives albums, which is a hard thing to accomplish. In my opinion that makes at least worth downloading. I also echo you on their live show, I'd love to see them.
To address the relistenable barrier's importance, I'd like to think it isn't. As long as it's worth listening to even once, that's all that really matters. There are artists that shouldn't be listened to ad infinitum, and the Hives very well may be one of those arists. But I definitely don't think that's too big a drawback.
