It sound beautiful, but definitely not a place I'd want to visit for long (especially in summer.) But then I am more of a fan of granite and waterfalls. *g*
Ah, I'm here for work, so, not here doing exactly what I'd rather be doing, and it's a quick trip, like always, but, I'm here. Not complaining. Lot of good and bad going on within the organization down here. At the moment, I'm past worrying about any of it.
Monsoon season in Arizona is my favorite. Yesterday evening I ditched it all and walked into the desert as far as I could, sat while the storm came in.
This desert lives like no other.
(pics are from a camera phone, an old one, so, not so fancy, but, you get the idea)
A few years ago, for the longest time, I'd say that Virginia was the furthest south I'd ever been. In '05 I made it to Memphis though, D-FW in '07 and Orlando this past April. Cities though, without the opportunity to see much of the great outdoors.
If I ever make it to Arizona, I plan to rectify that. It has always intrigued me.

Every day at 4pm sharp the clouds roll in, fifteen minutes later the sky breaks and the wind nearly blows you off your feet.
And to me, all of it feels like home. :D
