Supernatural: The First Wendigo

            “Dean!”

No no no.

“Dean!”

In the distance, Sammy is yelling his name.  It comes to Dean’s ears over and over and over again, rushed, pained, as ragged and indistinct as the ground he’s dragging over.  He sucks in air to yell back-Run, Sam! Go! Get Dad!-but a bouncing rock against his ribs steals all his wind.

This was so wonderful and such a lovely surprise to see a new SPN fic from you. I've missed your stories. Perfect job as always getting into the Winchester's heads and keeping their voices true to character.
And the story was awesome, lots of action and h/c. Hope to see more from you soon!

Thank you. I keep thinking I'll be able to re-grasp the character voices. Still struggling with it, but I'm hoping. In the meantime, I'm just writing, and enjoying what I write. Very glad you enjoyed this one. Hope the formatting wasn't too hard on the eyes. Thanks again, and hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Loved the whole tone of this one - very lyrical, almost like poetry in places. You're descriptions are superb.

And Rambo!Sammy is always one of my favourites! Nice to see him rescuing Dean for a change! You really got across his sense of panic, of knowing he was the only chance Dean had, although he's really still just a kid and should never have been put in that position.

Fantastic stuff.

Thank you. Your review humbles me. :)

I enjoyed writing this one. I remember I enjoyed it a lot. I remember the voices were all just really vibrant in my head, and I'm glad this fit for some readers out there as well.

Amazing. Great job!! I've missed your writing, you've got the boys down perfectly - I can totally see this happening and all their reactions and dialogue and thoughts are exactly right. Hope to see more and more from you!!

They went to Pittsburh. Bwah! But, then what do you say about the kind of summer they had? Seems a reasonable response. lol

Really great fic! Dean seems to have a problem with Wendigos. :( Poor boy! They didn't know what it was, but they happened to have the supplies needed to kill it. Good planning. :D Poor Sammy. :( He really dug down and pulled it all out, tho. Better to burn down a mountain than to lose his brother!

Really nicely done. :)

Old times. I so miss them. You captured the very essence of what Supernatural used to be in earlier years. The isolated feeling, the angst yet there was always a sliver of hope and most of all the boys. Absolutely loved it. I love how perfectly in character your boys are. It was a lovely surprise for us. Thank you so much :)

You know, I miss them too. I miss writing Supernatural, but Supernatural resides in a different world now. It is a very different show, with very different characters and motivations and storytelling. I'm not saying it is bad, or good, awesome or horrible--just different, and just became not my kind of show, if that makes sense. I enjoyed it immensely for the time it was my kind of show. And for those whose kind of show it is now--awesome, carry on :).

Thank you for the feedback on this one. Very much appreciate it.
