can I change my behavior if I don't like it or does psychology say I'm always going to be me so I better learn to like it?

Oh, people can changewhen they want to, but In General, Most people will remain the same.

but that mean's it's not a real change right, it's all a forced act? so if I wasn't thinking about my actions I'd just revert back to how I am

If one acts enough in a different way, it will become habit and then, a new behavior.

The phrase, "Fake it until you make it" comes to mind.

And old actor, Cary grant, said that he didn't have the self confidence to be a ladies man, but he became so by acting so.

I, personally, have a lot more confidence than I did four years ago. I still have to work on certain areas of it, but i trust my ability a whole lot more these days.
