Hehe, I love all your decorations! The boot stockings around the room are simply amazing. And kittehs! Heehee. :D

And doggehs! (Kittehs trump doggehs, though. Sorry, doggehs.)

When I was a kid, I loved to play with the Santa-face boot stocking. Its sequin eyeballs are only attached in the center and they tuck down into little openings in Santa's face, and I thought it was fun to pop them out of their sockets.

Sounds delightful! And yes, doggehs! XD

I haven't put away my little Christmas trees yet. I'm actually trying to make room for them in my tiny closet. XD

Yeah, I've gotta go to the store this afternoon and buy some sturdy plastic containers to pack everything neatly up. The decorations have been living on borrowed time shoved into cardboard shoe boxes and paper bags crammed under the bed every year! O_O

Thank you! It's a very cozy place, in spite of the cat hair. ;D

Purty! Wish I didn't work in a craft store and had the *umph* to get my decorations up.
But looking at other's work is so nice!

Love the boots and the kitty!

I know what you mean. Putting them up is exhausting, especially when you're at work all day and are tired at night. I only put up the outside lights and wreath at my own house this year, because I spent most of the holidays at my sister's and just didn't have the *umph* to do the inside of my own. I'm determined to get 'em up next year, though!

So glad you enjoyed the photos! :D

It's more of a "seeing Christmas decor since may, don't want to see them when I get home" thing.
But I love pretty, pretty lights and stuff!

I love the white furry decoration on the piano bench! the boot stockings are great! In my family we used to use felt stockings that one of my aunts made. When the next generation came along another aunt knitted a new one for everyone (a bonus is that the knit ones are stretchier than the old felt ones) that get brought out every year and hauled to each of my sisters' house.

Aww, I'd love to see a picture of your heirloom stockings! Hee, yeah, the felt ones are easy to tear and don't hold much; we only used them for a couple of years and then switched to "store-bought" ones and hung the felt boots for display only.

Piano Bench Kitteh's name is Mimi -- I call her that because her meow is a sweet little noise that sounds like "Me?"

AWWWW! (Insert more descriptive text about how meaningful and special your whole house is for Christmas and how welcoming but mostly just... AWWW!)

I didn't really get to celebrate Christmas either. Now I understand why my neighbors put the decorations up right after Thanksgiving. There just isn't time otherwise!

Exactly! We always try to put our decorations up at Thanksgiving, but this year we didn't have time to do it until the second week of December -- and when they're finally up, you've got about three minutes to stand back and admire them before it's time to race off and do nine jillion chores and errands EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Then at insane o'clock PM, when you finally drag back in for the evening, trailing tools and groceries and dirty laundry and sacks of cat litter in your wake, you sink into a chair and stare at the decorations with glazed eyes and think "Gee, that looks so pretty. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz."
