[He hears someone coming and tenses, eyes narrowed. He's a bit surprised at the other's appearance, if only because Derek doesn't recognize it to be any type of supernatural he knows, but he's more surprised when there's no threats or violence forthcoming.]

You have a better way of getting something useful?

[If he's another prisoner who's been here longer, maybe he does know something useful. If he's one of their captors, well, it doesn't really matter what Derek says.]
