BTW, how easy is it to pick up Tagalog?

I can't judge, because I was born with it lol... I suppose once you have a handle on the grammar you're ok. But some words are hilariously long in comparison to their English equivalents, and can be a bit of a tongue twister to those unfamiliar (for example, "pananampalataya" = "faith")

...but then, you can speak Mandarin and Korean, so I have more faith in your language acquisition skills than mine. Also, apparently Mormon missionaries can pick it up fairly easily XD

Good lawd is that a tongue twister XD Is grammar similar to English or closer to Japanese?

This dude I tutored in Japanese lived in I wanna say Manila for a while and learned Tagalog, so if he can do it, I can most definitely grasp the basics. Pronunciation... may leave a bit to be desired, tho XD
