..I feel like I know Brad.
..Why?
..Cuz you always talk about him.
..This is making the journal.

It has, for a long time, been my belief that the personas we all assume are the biproducts of our interactions with other places, people and experiences. To date, no one has successfully disputed me on this claim.

i don't know how anyone would ever try to dispute you on that claim. to me, it seems impossible. of course who you are is shaped by what you've seen and done, and where you've been. even if you don't like something, that's an opinion formed a part of your personality.

i think the self-hatred is just a phase. i'm the positive thinker who still believes everything happens for a reason, so whatever you're feeling is happening for a reason, and though you may not see it now, you will eventually realize why it all happened. so i think you're on the right track when saying "Most often, it is necessary that we encounter the experiences before we can distinguish the cause and effect of each."

I didn't intend to flatter you, only to categorize you. I know it probably sounds wrong, but I'm just trying to make sense of things.

I hate the fact that you're smarter than most the people I know but you fail to put your brilliance to good use.

i'm not going to dispute you, either.

and i hate the alphabet game. i choose letter d. i am, after all, a unique subcategory of friend. unique being synonymous with horrible.

You are not a horrible friend, but you are unique. In terms of friendship? Umm, not so much. You're a B.

that's kinda insulting.

It's not an insult. It's a B. I am a B, too, and I don't think that even you can refute that I have been a good friend to you recently.

The way your criteria are worded, I would never wish to be an A. To not pass judgement ever is to not be human, every passes judgements every day, if you don't, you've either cut yourself off from people completely, or removed the part of your brain that you use to think.

We need to pass judgements to live our every day lives, it's essential. I'm judgemental and I like it, and I'm not going to stop.

And in response to the claim that nobody has disputed you on, it's Nature vs. Nuture. I've always believed the same thing, you aren't born a certain way, you develop into it.

True on that last point.

And you're right; perhaps I should reconsider my wording.
