Title: Twitter
Pairing: Yuya/maki (one-sided), Shige/Maki
Summary: Even if they say that they don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend, doesn't necessarily mean they're single either.
It was one of those times that Tegoshi was bored to death that even playing futsal won’t help uplift his mood. So like any other person, he turned on his laptop and made use of the net. He read the news that there’s a popular social networking site that had everybody ‘tweeting’
What the hell? Are they birds or something?
So curiosity got the best of him, and looked at the said site. After going through the sign up hoopla he found his page empty
Of course it’s empty, you don’t have friends here
He started clicking on random links and found his way to a thread that talks about Shige. He found it amazing that people can derive conversations involving Shige. Then it hit him. He typed his name but found few tweets about him which made the later quite frustrated.
So Shige’s more interesting huh?
Then he started following random people on whim just for the heck of it as well as following accounts that have soccer in it. Replying to tweets here and there, he felt rather sleepy and decided to hit sack for tomorrow to come. The following morning, he went to work and totally forgot what he did last night until he heard his fellow members talking
“Hey Shige what your account on twitter?” asked Koyama as he just finished creating an account. Then Shige leaned over to type his username and Koyama started laughing
“daddy_shige? Really now Shige you could have chosen a better username!”
“Like ‘nynataforver’ is good name!” Shige retorted suddenly annoyed at his best friend
“well it sounds better than yours! Its not like you’re a father or something. It’ll make you sound older~” said Koyama as he stressed on ‘older’
Shige wanted to say yes but kept quiet instead he looked over at Tegoshi and noticed the other was in deep thought
“You okay?”
“Huh? Yeah. Just bored”
When Koyama heard his answer, he immediately went over and said “Ne ne do you have a twitter account?”
“yeah, its soccer_b” he replied lazily
“Yey!” exclaimed Koyama. When the other busied himself with twitter, Shige went closer to Tegoshi and asked.
“Really now, what’s eating you?”
“I’m just bored as hell. Don’t mind me I’ll be fine.”
“If you say so” then Shige left him alone.
Throughout the day, he looked like his soul flew out of him when no one was looking. Then he saw Shige’s phone lying around and took it without asking for permission. He looked questioningly Shige’s wallpaper of two kids doing weird faces
Hmm must be his niece and nephew
“They look cute right?” Shige suddenly appeared out of nowhere
“Yeah” replied Tegoshi then handed Shige his phone
“You know do something to get you occupied, you look like crap”
“You don’t need to tell me Shige, I already feel like crap”
“Just go home already. You’re giving bad vibes already”
Tegoshi just released a sigh, grabbed his things and went home.
Once again he faced his laptop and opened the said webpage he was browsing last night to see his page flooded with Koyama’s tweets as well as tweets about soccer. Then he checked Shige’s page to see if he’s interacting with anyone other than Koyama and saw random people exchange tweets with him and read some interesting tweets then he decided to follow someone with the user name ‘sarah_k’ and not a moment too soon, he started a conversation with this person. Since then his boredom was out of the question, he would come to work as alive as ever, as motivated as ever and as blooming as ever. Like he’s in love or something and that didn’t go pass Shige’s discerning eyes.
“Finally you’re back”
“Huh? I never left Shige” said Tegoshi all too cheery
“You’re in love aren’t you?”
“What made you say that?”
“I just know”
Tegoshi looked at him suspiciously as if the other is hiding something from him. But nonetheless its less of his worry now, what’s more important is to finally meet the person that changed him, the person that made him feel love, even though it’s only through words, he felt it was real. So he decided to pursue this person, she told him she doesn’t have a boyfriend.
So finally the day came, and Tegoshi made sure he’s at his best today. They agreed to meet at a café and when he got there, she’s already waiting. He approached her cautiously and said
“Sarah-chan?”
The young lady in front of him turned around and looked surprised
“Hai…” What the heck! Of all the people why Tegoshi?
“Nice to meet you, I’m Tegoshi Yuya”
“Nice to meet you too”
Tegoshi was about to start a conversation, when Shige suddenly appeared with a little girl in tow and said
“Hon, sorry I’m late”
“Shige? What are you doing here? And who’s that kid?”
“Tegoshi?” The he turned to Sarah “Hon, should we get going?”
“Eh Shige? You know her?”
“She’s my wife.”
“Eh??? How? When? Why?” then he looked at her “You told me you don’t have a boyfriend!”
Then a little girl approached her and asked to be carried “Well yeah I did say that. It’s the truth anyway. I
don’t have a boyfriend, I have a husband.”
Tegoshi couldn’t believe what he just heard, in an instant his supposed love-filled day became the most painful day of his life.
“Shige how could you not tell me-no US! We’re you’re freaking group!”
Shige just gave a grin and replied “I did. But none of you--- even Koyama believed me. Oh by the way we’ve been married for almost 9 years now.”
“What?!”
Sarah glanced at her watched and looked at Shige then at Tegoshi “I’m sorry our meeting ended up like this, I wanted to tell you the details but unfortunately we still have to fetch our son, so I guess talk to you later”
With that the Kato Family left a very shocked Tegoshi Yuya then it hit him,
From now on, I’ll make sure to listen to whatever Shige says
