Apparently, our mail carrier never came today. The packages I spent all morning getting ready to mail? STILL IN THE BOX when I came home.

What. The. Fuck.

If the mail carrier doesn't show up tomorrow, I'm not going to be a happy camper.

whut, fucking jerks

I don't think USPS does home pick up out of regular mailboxes anymore (except letters, which some mail carriers will take just as a favor).

Really? I've mailed larger envelopes (which was what one of them was) from home before, which is why I assumed that he just never showed up. And usually when he thinks WE'VE done something wrong, he'll have no problem leaving a note telling us so. I honestly think he really just did not come today...either that, or I picked the one day he actually came by mega-early and missed him. :/ Either way, I was very annoyed...usually he comes by like at noon.

Apparently I'm wrong--the website says they do still pick up packages under 13 oz. They didn't pick up packages in my Seattle apartment building, but perhaps that was because the routes are split and letter carriers do rounds on foot. Or maybe that was just shirking on the part of my mail carrier. I would not be hugely surprised. If you didn't get any other mail, maybe you were skipped because there was nothing to deliver? Worth leaving it out another day to see.

Yeah, I was gonna say, I mailed a small box with click and ship postage like...a month or two ago? So unless they changed it recently, I was pretty surprised.

I gave the packages to Zack's mom....apparently they have a mail guy at her office, so she can just give them to him and he'll drop it off at the post office. I didn't wanna leave the packages out in the box overnight just because I'm paranoid someone would take them thinking they might be worth something (when it's mostly my etsy embroidery sales, lol)
