I haven't seen the American version, but I really liked the book AND the original movie.

I'm one of the strange people that actually liked the American version of "The Ring"...I think it's BETTER than the original, but I liked what they did with it, visually. (I didn't like the sequel, though.)

I AGREE! I thought this was such a weird question yesterday. xD Though it reminded me of the Akira remake thing that got canceled. D:

I'm really pissed, because apparently some people are determined not to let Akira die. D< UGH JUST STOP IT ALREADY!

I've never seen the original, either, so don't feel bad. Actually, that series has been on my "to read" list for quite some time...
