Hooked, not so much, but continued and heavy use can damage your kidneys. This is true of all NSAIDs, though. Not generally an issue in the short term, but if you find yourself continuing to need a lot of ibuprofen for, like, weeks, you may wish to chat with your doctor about.
Good to know! I do suspect, judging by rate of healing so far, that I may not need the stuff for much longer.
I'm currently sticking to less than the recommended limit (6 caps a day), taking 4 caps a day in two widely-spaced doses, so I think I'll be weaned fairly easily.
FYI, you can take up to 16 200mg tabs a day (that's the prescription level, ask your pharmacist).
I've used the stuff off and on since I was 19 depending on how my cranky spine was behaving. Or not. Some weeks I down so many to dull pain, it qualifies as a food group. Other times, I don't need 'em. So there's your addiction question.
