The link preview is worse than "annoying as hell." Yahoo! has been doing it for a while. I hate it. I've heard you can turn it off in your account preferences. Mine is unchecked, but it still shows up anyway.

yeah is that the Snapshot thing? If you click the little gear in the corner of it you can set it so that it doesn't ever show up.

The preview crap that I have "disabled" but still keeps working is annoying as fuck! *growls*

The settings in your LJ simply turn it off for people viewing YOUR journal.

To stop YOURSELF from seeing it, you have to make one appear, then use the gear in the corner to go into settings and disable it for all sites.
