We traded PUDGE!?!?! Of all the shitty players we have...we trade PUDGE!?

What!? WHY!? ....oh, right. No one would take Sheffied.

Okay. I'm over it, but I think the Yankees got the better end of this deal.

On the bright side...we got a pitcher...and all season I've been bitching and whining about our relievers. So...I guess I'll welcome back Kyle ( Read more... )

I, yeah. I didn't see that one coming. And just when I was starting to warm up to Farnsworth.

I was pretty floored, even though I shouldn't really have been. The Tigers only signed Pudge to one year last season, and there were pretty loud talks about them not re-signing him for next season. So. What's a matter of a few months?

But. Farnsworth? The reason he left (back in 05) was because he very dramatically stated that he'd rather pitch for ANY other team. Yet, here he is again.

Has he been...decent this season?

Personally, I've never been a huge fan of his - a little too wild and inconsistent for my taste. But, he's been a lot better this season. We still need a quality starter though.

I remember him being...moody. I've heard that he improved once Girardi took over the helm, though. So, I guess that's good...and after tonight's bull pen blunder, Tiger's fans who were greatly apprehensive about this deal at the start of the game, are pretty much welcoming "Farnsy" back w/ open arms.

...yes, it was that bad.

You got the ugly end of the stick on that deal, good luck. ;)

At 7pm, I probably would have agreed.

But. After watching 13 innings of out bull pen effing up...as long as long as he knows what a strike is...I'm cool.

He may know, but he won't show that he knows. Or maybe he'll be magic now, never know. How were the Sox for you last week?

The fact that he's got an ERA under 4 means he's better than basically all our relievers.

And, let's not talk about the Sox. It was ugly. Very, very ugly.
