Three days ago, a woman I work with had a brain aneurysm. She's been in ICU since and today, the doctors declared her brain dead. At 3 o'clock...39 minutes from now...she's going to be taken off life support. In less than an hour, she'll be gone.

That's the thing, that's what makes it so hard to grasp. They are the people that make life better because they say these little things on bad days that just make you smile and realize nothing's as bad as it seems.

This makes me so sad. I'm sorry to hear about your co-worker, McMatchy. That's just...haaiii. Losing those kinds of people is just hard. I definitely agree with what freiheitfuehlen said. Why must there be pain and suffering in the world?
