DJ's birthday present

 So i made a quilt for my brother for his birthday December 10th. Unfortunately, my sewing machine went kaput so i had to HAND SEW the entire thing, which means it wasn't ready until Christmas. haha. So i gave it to him today. 
As you can see, it was pre-loved, courtesy of my "helpers". :)

I also found out that one of my regulars is a friggen professional.. she's been doing quilts and such for like 30 years or something... she offered to give me some books and even fabric... she also said she'd take a look at my machine for me. :)

Wow, that's awesome! I made my first quilt around this time last year but it was only a lap quilt. :) I bought stuff intending to make a bed sized quilt but the stuff remains in bags in my closet... oops. Maybe once I'm slight more mobile I'll get back to it. :)
