The seemingly craziest girl is actually the sanest of them all, and it's with her that he's the most sane. I've always loved that about their relationship - spot-on, wonderful job. :)

That was just wonderful! I always thought while I was reading the books that Luna was the only person that Harry could really let his guard down around.

This part especially touched me:

"What do you think Harry's experiences could possibly have in common with the muggles you're basing this whole theory on?" Ginny asks and there's a bite to her tone.

"We're all human," Luna says serenely.

Harry smiles. That was always the point.

It's just so Luna.

I think that's one of the reasons I like Harry/Luna so much. We rarely see anyone truly know what Harry needs. Luna is almost it.

I wanted to keep their relationship ambiguous. I don't see Harry capable of real romance. His childhood and adolescence are too scarred. I see Ginny as a sort of cover in this and Luna as a person who's aware of Harry's own limits and who respects them. If that makes any sense.

Oh, this is lovely! I've always thought Harry and Luna would have this sort of friendship and understanding between them that no one can touch or understand. I like the image of them laying on the floor talking to one another and just looking up at the enchanted ceiling. And interesting where you took this with Albus Severus!
