It was eerie, like looking in a mirror; every hair, every freckle, every scar and oft-chewed-upon nail exactly the same. Carbon copy, duplicate, replica, twin, whatever you wanted to call it…

All he knew was that there were two Carters staring at each other, and it was beyond weird.

To tell the truth, it was down right creepy.

Yeah, sure, they’d ( Read more... )

That's both the good and the bad part of ending a fic in a place like that: the reader can choose whatever finale they want. So I'll leave it up to you to decide whether he gets it right the first time... or not. :)

That, or the alien's the one with the bomb and he shoots it first. Unfortunately, the chances of him being that lucky really aren't all that high. And I refuse to write cheesy endings like that.

Thank you for reading!

'Jack looked at them, searching for some sign to distinguish his Carter from the alien, and knew he wouldn’t find it.'

Damn! I agree with Carter.

You just know Jack is going to kill them both and that both Sams are going to forgive him. He can't take the chance that he'll be wrong and they know that. Poor Jack - caught between a rock and a hard place. Again.

Very nice.

I almost feel bad for putting him in a position like that... almost. But being the evil authoress I am, I'm clearly not.

And they would; the real Carter, at least. (The alien might be a little pissed at dying, but that's beside the point.) It's an aspect of their relationship/military training I can't remember if I've seen written about before, so it was interesting to write.

Thanks for reading. :)

Thank you. :) It's my specialty mix (well, hopefully the 'great' part); maybe I should box it up and sell it!
