So...the swim meet on Saturday. Apparantly the boy's swim team now has fangirls, because, it seems, mostly naked guys are a good thing in their books. But, if nothing else, we'll have a ready-made cheering squad built in, which is nice. You really don't have to do anything special for my birthday, you know. Just spending time with you is enough.

Well, you'll definitely spend time with me. Maybe not in the way you thought...but yes. And what if I wanted to do something special? It's not like I went over the top...just something I thought you'd appreciate.

Any time spent with you is time well spent. And wanting to do something is fine, as long as you don't feel like you have to.

That doesn't make it right, though. Parents should be the first ones to remember. Sheesh. I want to make it up to you somehow...

Really. When was the last time you caught me doing something I didn't want to do? And going to class doesn't count for the purposes of this discussion, by the way, so don't think you can sneak in a win there.
