... a song by Roxette came up on my Winamp player.

Way back in the year of 1991., pre war, pre drama, pre anything that could ever be considered a burden, my mom came home from work one evening and got me an MC album. You remember those, right? Little plastic box thingy with two little wheels on the inside and magnetic tape rolled onto one of them ( Read more... )

Ah, tapes, I remember them well. Roxette was my first love, and I, too, had my bedroom plastered with their posters and saw them in concert when I was 11. Joyride was a great album.

I can't believe they're that old now...wow. But you're right, Marie still looks damn fine.

You've seen them in concert? You're so lucky. I would love to see them play live if i had the chance, but it seems like i never will.

Yep, it was my first concert ever. Are they even still touring?

Nope, no tourning. After Marie had the brain tumor surgery theyput all activities on ice. I think Per isdoing something with his band, though.

Please don't tell me it was Take That! Please.

Or NSync.

Oh my.

And I love that both you and Maxi love Roxette. They used to be so awesome. Today I took out their Pearls of Passion album. It made me instantly giddy. And ABBA! Of course, dude. Of course of course of course!

I had no idea they disbanded.
I loved Roxette too, you can't deny they penned some classics for their genre.

Lol, I still use MC sometimes. Not to listen to music but to record stuff on it xD
But I have to hope my recorder won't break cause I doubt they're selling them still ^^;

You can still find stereos with double deck cassette player/recorder. I should buy a new stereo myself, but it's not like I couldn't spend money on some smarter things.

I used to listen to Roxette with my best friends mom.

My best friend and I felt the same about Ace Of Base (my first cassette tape ever!) and Spice Girls (seriously, it took me until I was nine to get my first CD. Until then, the only one I had was Asleep At The Wheel, which belonged to my dad.)
