That's right. You know, for clothes and stuff.

I guess you can't have a store without any, but I'm not sure I understand what they'd do.

Basically all models do is show off what the designer has created. Like...let's say you agreed to be a model for me. I'd hand you an outfit, you'd put it on, and then you'd show it off to others and when they say, "hey that's amazing where'd you get that?" you can say to them "oh, I got it from Shiki's shop, you should go look at her stuff because it's awesome".
