Lost
He had no idea how they’d lost the rest of the team. One minute, they had been following along behind Teal’c, Vala complaining loudly about what the dank, cold forest air was doing to her hair, and the next minute, they were alone. They tramped along, alternately bickering and giving one another the silent treatment, until he was absolutely sure that they were walking in circles.
“I think we’re lost,” he admitted.
“No! Really?”
He sighed and sank to the ground with his back against a tree. She flopped down beside him, using him as a makeshift backrest. His mouth popped open, and he raised his elbow to nudge her away, but she gave a long, tired sigh of her own and reached into her pocket, pulling out something that looked suspiciously like a Milky Way bar. Paper crinkling confirmed it, and without waiting for him to ask, she handed him the less gooey half.
“Thanks.”
“Always keep chocolate in your pocket for emergencies, darling.”
