Update to Karen's reading list

I have finished the following books:

Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley
Much more enjoyable than I thought it would be.  An absolutely heartbreaking and tragic story.  I wish I had not received such an odd reaction from so many people when they found out I was reading it.  Is it because they have not read it, and think it's a scary monster book?  Or
