STILL have hives, three days after quitting taking that damn medication. I haven't started taking anything else because ewwww. I at least want to make sure I can seperate out the side effects. I am not going too insane without being on anything yet, although I have insomnia again--obvs, it's 2:19 AM and also think I dwell more on crap than I ( Read more... )

Hives suck! And from personal experience, they can be related to sooo many things and sometimes meds just do not work. I take zyrtec, which *can* help, but it's never fail safe. And they can last for daaaays. Itching just spreads them, so try to avoid it. Wear lose clothing around them and try to avoid stressing out over them. Easier said than done, I know. *hugs*

Thanks for the advice. At least I know it's normal that they don't go away instantly after the exposure. Also, I was totally itching them without realizing that was a transfering thing...

If you are still really itchy, try getting some Aveeno oatmeal bath stuff. Or else some lotion that has cooling menthol in it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I kept meaning to go buy that when I was at my dad's--and had his bathtub available! I was telling him all the advice that my friends gave me, and he was like, do you ever like crack a medical book or do you just soliciate suggestions on the street? I was like, whatever! My friends are the smartest poll I could take :)

dandelion/milk thistle supplement or tincture. they are detoxifiers and will help your body eliminate that shit from your system. !!!
