No way, are you serious?! I can't believe they would do that, it's obviously homophobia. That really sucks, I only started watching the show because of the Erica/Callie.
So I know I'm not the OP, but I'm threadjacking. Shonda Rhymes, show creater, released a statement saying specifically that Hahn was obviously not fired because she's a lesbian. I guess this means Brooke was hard to work with, but this still seems extreme. I don't know. I'm waiting for more information.
It's cool, I don't mind. I suppose it's possible, but it doesn't seem like it to me. If she was so hard to work with, she probably would have been written out earlier and more fluidly, if that makes sense. As for Rhymes' statement, I don't see what else she would have been fired for if it "obviously" wasn't because she was playing a lesbian. I don't know, though, they might have had a good reason for it, but I doubt it.
I've read Shonda's statement too, but I've also read that ABC specifically asked (or forced) her to get rid of the Erica/Callie (basically the whole lesbian) story line.
Who knows though. It just really upsets me; Hahn was such a cool character and they could have done so much with that story line...
