Hmm...The Island of the Sequined Love Nun by Chris Moore. It straddles the line of romance and comedy, more on the side of comedy.

Same with the Undead series. Undead and Unwed: Queen Betsy Book 1 starts them off. I prefer novels that do not take themselves too seriously.
